What this training is about
02 · The substance
Excel is where Copilot delivers most and is used least. That's because the first attempt usually fails: a table with merged cells, a header on row four and a column of dates stored as text produces an answer that means nothing. After that, nobody tries again.
So we start with the data, not with the prompt. What has to be in order before you can ask anything, and what can you let Copilot clean up itself? In practice that matters more than any phrasing.
The second half is about trust. Copilot explains a formula neatly, including when it built the formula wrong. You learn what you check yourself and what you accept, a line that sits differently for every team and has to be made explicit.

05 · Short answer
Which version of Excel do we need?
Excel in Microsoft 365 with a Copilot licence, and the file has to live on OneDrive or SharePoint. A locally saved .xlsx does nothing. That's the most common reason a first attempt failed.
Can we bring real figures?
That's your call. It works better with real data, but an anonymised copy works too. The files simply stay on the participant's laptop.
Is this an Excel course?
No. We don't explain pivot tables. We assume you know Excel and want to know what you can ask of it. If you can't build a pivot table, this is the wrong session.
Why three hours and not four?
Because attention for spreadsheet work drops off after that. Three hours with one break is what goes in productively; the hour after that we lose to fatigue.
