What Copilot Studio has become
01 · The platform
Copilot Studio is no longer a chatbot builder. It's where you build, connect and keep control of agents, and that second part is where most organisations get stuck.
The biggest change is in how an agent organises its work. Where you used to draw topic trees, if the user says this, go there, the language model now decides which steps are needed and which tools to reach for. That makes building faster and testing more important: you no longer prescribe what happens, you describe what has to happen.
An agent can now also do things that used to be out of reach. It can drive a website or desktop application through its interface when no integration exists, it can start on an event rather than a question, and it can run a sequence of steps that takes minutes or hours. That opens up processes that couldn't be automated before because the source system had no API.
The third piece is governance, and it's the part demos never cover. Who is allowed to build, in which environment, with which connectors, and who can see afterwards what happened. Without those agreements you end up within six months with a collection of agents nobody can attribute or explain. That isn't a theoretical risk; it's the most predictable consequence of an enthusiastic start.

The platform doesn't skip the process work. Agents that fail almost never fail on the technology but on a process nobody can explain precisely. That's why session one spends more time on sticky notes than on the screen.

Shaping and gathering
The basics of Copilot Studio, then onto the wall. Everyone brings in processes that repeat, we write them on sticky notes and sort them by effort and payoff. You leave with three to five worked-out processes and one chosen to build on.
In between · 2 weeks
Trying it yourselves
The group carries on building in your own environment. The portal is open for reference and examples, and questions go to the coach instead of a colleague who doesn't know either. Whatever goes wrong in these two weeks is the material for session two.

Yield and next steps
What did it deliver, what didn't work and why. Then process optimisation: which step can go, which exception belongs with a human. And finally the questions that last longest, who owns it, and when do you deliberately not build an agent.
The online portal
03 · What carries the two weeks
Participants get twelve months of access to a portal with reference material, explanations and examples, and a place to ask the coach a question.
In the two weeks between sessions everyone is stuck at a different point. One can't get past an authorisation, another doesn't know how to catch an exception. That's exactly the moment people normally stop: the trainer has gone, the manual is generic, and the colleague who might know is on holiday.
So the portal isn't a video library but a reference work plus a line to someone who answers. Explanations per component, example agents you can pick apart, and a question channel where the coach replies within a working day. Questions and answers stay put, so the second group you train doesn't start from zero.
Access runs for twelve months, including after session two. That's deliberate: the questions that really matter only arrive when someone changes an agent for the third time, and that rarely happens within two weeks.

The full programme, per group
Two four-hour sessions for up to ten participants, including preparation, materials and twelve months of portal access. Two separate four-hour sessions would cost €3,100; the difference is the portal and the coach during the fortnight in between. An extra participant costs €225. Excluding VAT; travel costs are listed separately in the quote.

Session one only
Possible, and we advise against it. Session one produces ideas; session two produces the answer to whether they held up. Take only the first and you never learn which assumption was wrong, the most expensive way to save money.
What you need
05 · The conditions
Three things, and not two of them. An environment where the group is genuinely allowed to build, build rights, not view rights. A licence that permits it, which depends on your agreement with Microsoft and which we walk through together beforehand. And a process that genuinely matters, which someone in the room is allowed to decide will change.
That last point is the most underestimated. A group that works on a process for four hours and then hears another department owns it is a group that cancels the second session. So we ask up front who holds the mandate and make sure that person is in the room, if only for the final hour.
Yours, not ours
Everything that gets built lives in your own environment and has an owner there. Your team can maintain and extend it themselves after the training.

What exactly is Copilot Studio?
The platform for building, connecting and governing agents inside Microsoft 365. It started as a low-code chatbot designer and has become a governed agent platform: orchestration by the language model rather than large topic trees, agents that run autonomously or on an event, and administration at environment level with audit logs and connector policies.
Why two sessions two weeks apart?
Because in one day you can only build what you think of that day. The two weeks in between are where it goes wrong, and therefore where you learn something: a connection that isn't allowed, an exception nobody considered, a process that turns out to run differently. Session two is about that. Without those two weeks you have a demo, not experience.
What does it cost and what's included?
€4,950 per group of up to ten participants, for the full programme of two four-hour sessions. That covers preparation, materials, both sessions and twelve months of access to the online portal. An extra participant costs €225. Amounts exclude VAT; travel costs are itemised in the quote.
Can we book only the first session?
You can, for €2,750, and we advise against it. The first session produces enthusiasm and a wall full of ideas. What still stands six weeks later is decided by the second session, that's when you see what worked and what was an assumption. Booking only session one means buying the fun half.
What do we need in order to take part?
A Copilot Studio or Power Platform environment where the group is actually allowed to build, and a real process that someone in the room is allowed to change. Without build rights it becomes watching a screen, and without a mandate every result stays a proposal. We check this before fixing a date.
Do you get access to our environment?
No. The trainer uses their own environment for the demonstrations; participants build in yours. Whatever gets built stays with you and we take nothing away. That's the same line we hold across our offering, and it's a choice rather than a technical limitation.
