The model
The Copilot implementation planMeasure → Train → Sustain
Three steps, in this order. Without the first, you don't know where you started. Without the third, it was just a nice afternoon.
Measure
Five minutes that steer the rest of the program.
On working day five you take the baseline, in about five minutes. No trick questions, no score to hit. The result is a starting point, not a verdict.
- Your job, from thirteen categories, becomes one of eight content profiles: your role determines your examples.
- Knowledge questions set a level per topic. You never see that level anywhere; you only see material that fits.
- Your work context and the module questions steer the order: if you live in your inbox, you start with Outlook.
BoundaryYour self-assessment can lower your level by one step at most, never raise it. What you show counts for more than what you say about yourself.
Train
- 1. Basics
- 2. Prompting
- 3. Outlook
- 4. Teams
- 5. Word
- 6. Excel
Black = moved forward based on your baseline.
26 learning moments in three phases, at your pace.
The Microsoft 365 Copilot Online Workshop counts 26 mandatory learning moments in three phases, spread over 60 working days. The starting week gets you going quickly, without a hurdle. Short on time? You get two learning moments a week. More room? Three. The fixed milestones sit in the same place for everyone; the road between them is personal.
- Difficulty steers toward a target band of roughly 80 to 90 percent correct answers.
- Stuck on one concept? You get a different explanation, not another quiz.
- Practical assignments happen in your own work environment, not a sandbox.
BoundaryThere is nothing to skip. If you already master the material, you get more complex cases and deeper material instead of repeating what you already know.
Sustain
60 working days. Orange = fixed milestone, in the same place for everyone.
The program counts working days, not calendar days.
If Wednesday is your day off, you never get a learning moment on Wednesday. Dutch public holidays are quiet. Go on holiday and your path pauses; you come back without a backlog. Working day 40 remains the fortieth learning moment, whatever your calendar did.
- On day 40 and day 60 a re-measurement follows, and it may also raise your level.
- At most one nudge per working day. Evenings, weekends and public holidays stay quiet.
- Never a message about work you already finished. You choose from three notification profiles: daily, rhythm or minimal.
BoundaryAfter three ignored nudges, the platform dials itself down to a quieter setting, and says so honestly.

Classroom or e-learning?
04 · The format
The content is the same in all three formats. The difference lies in pace, schedule and cost. Measuring and sustaining run around it in every case, you don't choose those separately.
With a trainer, live
Classroom
A half day or two with a trainer, in person or via Teams. You work on your own files and questions are answered right away. Strong when a team needs to start together or when there is resistance.
- 6 to 12 participants per group
- Fixed date, scheduled time
- Questions answered on the spot
- More expensive per person
The online workshop, at your rhythm
E-learning
The Microsoft 365 Copilot Online Workshop: 26 learning moments in three phases, spread over 60 working days. A short learning moment a day, only on your working days, in the order your baseline sets. Strong for large numbers and for people who can't free up a half day.
- No group size, no schedule
- Pace and order differ per person
- Repetition built in
- Requires self-starting
E-learning plus a session
Blended
The basics via e-learning, followed by one live session per team on your own practice. The session is no longer about buttons but about how you rearrange the work. This is what most organizations choose.
- Less live time, more effect
- Session at team level
- Starting level already aligned
- Scheduling still needed
| Comparison | Classroom | E-learning | Blended |
|---|---|---|---|
| Duration | 1 half day | 60 working days | 60 working days plus one session |
| Time per day | 4 hours in a row | a short learning moment per working day | a short learning moment, plus 90 min live |
| Scheduling needed | Yes, for everyone | No | One session per team |
| Order tailored | No, group pace | Yes | Yes |
| Cost per person | ±€270 per day | €69 to €149 per participant | Custom |
| Strong for | Resistance, small group | Large numbers | Most organizations |
Not sure which format? Start with the baseline.
It sits on working day five, takes about five minutes per person and steers the rest of the program. After that, you'll see for yourself whether a room is still needed.
