Critical review
Checking Copilot output before it leaves the building.
The weakest column at almost every organization, and the only one where a mistake leaves the building. Two and a half hours with real errors from your own documents.

What this training is about
02 · The substance
Copilot writes convincingly. That's exactly the problem: an answer that is correct and an answer that is invented read the same. Anyone who sends output on to a client, a council or an auditor needs a checking habit that doesn't depend on how busy that week is.
In the baseline measurement, 'Review' is nearly always the lowest column. Not because people are careless, but because nobody taught them what to look for. A figure that looks plausible doesn't get verified, a quote that sounds right doesn't get checked.
So this training isn't about prompting. You get a checklist, you practise it on five answers we know contain an error, and at the end the group writes down what never goes out unchecked.

Who it's for
03 · The participants
01
People who write for outside
Client contact, communications, legal, grant applications. Anything that carries your logo.
02
People who work with figures
Finance and control. A percentage that looks right is the most dangerous kind of error.
03
Teams with a low Review column
Below 3 in the matrix. Then this is the first session you schedule, ahead of all the others.
The programme
04 · The build-up
An indication, not a timetable. What the group needs weighs more than the clock.
0:00
Where it goes wrong
Five real answers, all five containing an error. The group hunts for them, we count how many are found. That number is the starting point.
0:35
The checklist
Six checks that together take under a minute: source, figure, quote, date, tone and assumption.
1:15
Checking your own work
Everyone brings a document of their own and applies the checklist to it. We walk around and look over shoulders.
2:00
The agreement
What never leaves your organization unchecked? That gets written down and goes to the manager.
Questions about this training
05 · Short answer
Do participants need to be using Copilot already?
Yes, for at least a few weeks. This training is about checking output, so there has to be output. Anyone who hasn't started belongs in the e-learning first.
Do you work with our own documents?
Yes, and that's the whole point. We ask for a handful of real documents in advance. We also bring five examples we know contain an error, so the group finds something even if your own documents happen to be correct.
What if nobody finds the errors?
That happens regularly in the first half hour, and it's the best start you can have. It settles, without any debate, why the checklist exists.
Will we hear who performed badly?
No, the reporting shows teams, not names. That keeps the training something people join honestly, and that's how everyone learns most.
